Technology

Each student K - 5 gets a 38 minute block of Technology each week. Students learn how to safely use resources on school supplied Chromebooks. Special areas of focus are typing, navigating a computer, productivity apps (Google Docs, Slides, etc.), and even some more advanced coding-based games for older kids. 

In Tech, we do a lot of project-based learning. Students will learn bits of what they need each week to produce a final product at the end of a unit. Students are encouraged to explore the apps we use so they can get comfortable with them and even teach one another new things!

Pre-K 3 and 4 students have 20 minutes of Technology each week where they spend some time using educational apps to get comfortable with tablets.
